Creative Live

Last month I had such a great time teaching as part of Creative Live’s Modern Womens Portraiture course along with the lovely Sue Bryce, Lara Jade and Lou Freeman in Las Vegas.  During the course I shot with several of my favorite digital and anologue cameras using FP3000b and Impossible Project film.  Below are some of my results from the course as well as the equipment I was using.  A huge thanks to Creative Live for asking me to be a part of this course as well as to my wonderful team Vic Soto, Justin Novak, Penny Adams, Shawnee Badger and my sponsors Mola, Westcott and Seamless!

Impossible Project Instant Lab

Facebook670Twitter5Pinterest0tumblrGoogle+12

Yesterday I attended the Impossible Project NYC store party and was able to pick up the Impossible Project Instant Lab which creates polaroids using photos from your iPhone.  Today I enjoyed trying it out using some digital images from one of my favorite shoots with Karsyn Bartruff. I really like the results that it gives and the fact that I am able to choose the images I scan creating consistency to photography stories.  Today I used the Instant Film B&W and am excited to try out the color with the Instant Lab in the near future!  I have not blogged this (digital) series yet however you can view some of the images posted as digital files on my Facebook Page.  As most of you know I shoot with The Impossible Project film quite often and love the results.  There is something magical about snapping a polaroid and waiting for it to develop to see your results, however with the Instant Lab you are guaranteed a nice image as you already know what the result will be similar to.  That being said, I am trying to decide what method I prefer as there are benefits to both.  What do you all think?  Would love to see your comments below!© Emily Soto© Emily Soto© Emily Soto© Emily Soto
