Lighting Diagram

I had so much fun shooting Stefania Zavval’s beautiful designs at Torrey Pines, this photo was taken on a steep path on the way down the mountain to Black’s Beach.  Vic held the beauty dish above the model while my assistant for the shoot, Christy Golder, hid behind a cliff to point a speed light at the back of the models body for rim light.  Not pictured in the diagram but also used were Pocket Wizards and an Alien Bee 800.  *More photos from this shoot coming soon.

    Hello,
I just wanted to say your photos look so amazing and it’s great that you put up your lighting demonstrations. I was just wondering what sort of lenses you use. Your photos look so perfect and clear!

Hello. I love your photography! Thank you for taking the time to put up lighting diagrams and videos of behind the scenes. I don’t have the $$$ for a Mola, but I am trying to get similar results with my 22″ beauty dish….not there yet. Thanks again.

    Emily,

I love your videos and how you provide the lighting diagram. I have an AB800 and was interested in getting the beauty dish to use on location. Do you recommend the AB beauty dish? I have the AB large octobox but it’s just too big to take on location. Also, what aperature and shutter do you use in these shots?
